After a full day of competition in massive waves at Waimea Bay, Californian Greg Long took home the honors in the 2009 Eddie Aikau Invitational yesterday. Chilean Ramon Navarro, who also finished fifth overall, got The Monster Drop Award for the most hellacious-but-made wave of the contest. Contest sponsor Quicksilver has the whole story here.
