Oceanweather compiles all kinds of Marine Weather Data and makes it available to the public free of charge. World Buoy data as recorded by the US-based National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA. Check their WaveWatch page for a list of forecasting models. Don't discount the Navy. Their Fleet Numerical Models are an excellent wave-prediction tool. Here's the global spread: FNMOC Based in La Jolla, California, Scripps Oceanographics was one of the very first sources of online maritime weather. They're still one of the best. This is the Scripps animated view of global wave heights, which has the 12-hour forecast. For an expansive list of other links, see the Scripps weather page. Where's the juice? We got yer juice right here -- U. Hawaii tracks cyclonic activity worldwide. Tap into the source here. Stormsurf: has compiled an excellent set of beachcams and weather images for the blue planet. Stormsurf also has some proprietary weather forecast tools for dedicated wavehounds. Average ambient air temperatures for many places on Earth -- check the historical database at Worldclimate. There are a few good tide prediction tools on the net. Try some of these links to get the low down on high water.
